The rush of the city triumphs
over the slow fade of farmland.
Its sound a slow rise into solid symphony
that keeps humming till the end of time.

David Cole is a writer and multimedia specialist that was originally released for the SEGA CD in 1994 (the same year as Slam City with Scottie Pippen!). He came up in a holler somewhere in southeastern Kentucky and the folk culture and mythos of that area has deeply inspired his art and philosophy. He believes that hard work is worthy work, that everyone has a story to tell, and that good deeds are punished but still worthwhile.
David is an expert on the history and cultural impact of video games. His work explores the relationships we develop with these interactive experiences. He continues to be fascinated by how we learn and develop through them.
My written work has been featured through WRFL, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Waterloo.
I’ve studied under Frank X Walker and Gurney Norman, former Poet Laureates of Kentucky. I’ve read alongside Justin Samgar and Tsead Bruinja, current Poet Laureate of the Netherlands.
Media clients include Lexington Philharmonic, the Kentucky World Language Association, and Breakout Games.
